John Harris, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. John Harris joined Akimeka LLC on January 1st, 2001 as its new Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this he was President of JJA Enterprises, an independent consulting firm specializing in acquisition, business and financial management, and business development services. Mr. Harris has a BS degree from Middle Tennessee State University and an MS degree in Healthcare Administration from Southwest Texas State University. He also carries a Masters equivalent in International Affairs from the Armed Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia. Mr. Harris has over twenty-five years of healthcare management and business experience, both government and commercial, with special emphasis in the areas of strategic planning, operations management, procurement and financial management. He brings Akimeka a wealth of corporate management, sales, and entrepreneurial experience focused on business organization and operations. After completing a distinguished military career in 1994 that included assignments on both the Department of the Army and Unified Command staffs, Mr. Harris has held the positions of Division Manager and Group Vice President with Information Network Systems, Inc. (INS, Inc.), a high tech information management solutions provider, where he had responsibility for sales, operations, and marketing along with full P&L responsibilities for the Group. In late 1998, Mr. Harris ventured out on his own and began JJA Enterprises offering business consulting services to small and medium sized companies and government clients nation wide. Mr. Harris has both US and international business experience having spent many months working in the Middle East and in Central and Latin America. |
