John is a principal and consulting actuary with the Boston office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1986.
Experience
John works extensively on property and casualty consulting assignments. These assignments cover areas such as loss reserving, ratemaking, captive planning, feasibility studies, and rate-of-return analysis. His substantial expertise includes pricing and analysis of workers' compensation benefit changes and group self insurance programs for various lines, including workers' compensation and medical professional liability. In addition to multi-line property and casualty insurers, his clients include self-insurers, captive insurers, reinsurers, medical professional liability specialty insurers, and workers' compensation specialty insurers.
John priced workers' compensation benefit changes in Florida, Indiana, Maine, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and Vermont. He assisted the Connecticut, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island insurance departments with the examinations of several large national insurers and reinsurers. He has worked with more than 25 group self-insurance programs.
