Mr. Hoopingarner joined Emergent Technologies, Inc. in May 2000, as Vice-President, New Business Development. His primary responsibilities were developing markets for portfolio companies and identifying and developing new opportunities for potential commercialization using the Emergent Technologies business model. In May, 2001, he was promoted to Executive Vice President, Portfolio Companies Operations and in this assignment directs the routine business between the companies, their university partner, and their clients. Mr. Hoopingarner is currently serving in his second year on the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce Bioscience-UT Facilitation Subcommittee and on the Technical Business Network Bioscience Initiative Steering Committee. He also serves on the Oklahoma Health Center Foundation CEO Committee, and is a charter member of the Offshore Energy Center in Galveston, Texas. Mr. Hoopingarner earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University. |
