As executive vice president and chief credit officer of Texas Capital Bank, John Hudgens is acutely aware of the details required for defining and managing credit policy to achieve an acceptable credit risk profile for the Bank. Under his watch and leadership, special attention is given to the Bank�s credit quality and maintaining its stellar ratings.
Hudgens joined the Bank in 1999 and has more than 28 years of banking experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including relationship management assignments and management roles within credit administration, corporate and correspondent banking, commercial credit underwriting and problem loan administration.
During his tenure at Bank One, Texas, he was a vice president responsible for organizing and managing the commercial credit underwriting department. He became part of the Bank One organization following its acquisition of Team Bank, N.A., where he was senior vice president responsible for managing problem loan administration and repossessed real estate and for performing various credit administration duties.
At Texas American Bank, Fort Worth, Hudgens was senior vice president managing corporate and correspondent banking, as well as various relationship management assignments.
Hudgens holds a master�s of business administration in finance and accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also earned his bachelor�s degree in business as part of the honors program. He also attended the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University
