John Itzel is a well respected real estate professional with over 30 years of experience in the areas of finance, brokerage, development, leasing and management. His recognized strengths include a keen awareness of the value of real estate and the ability to identify any opportunity to enhance that value. A licensed California Real Estate Broker since 1978, Mr. Itzel has successfully completed numerous apartment, multi-tenant industrial and commercial office transactions totaling over $500 million in value. As a senior executive in both the banking and savings and loan industries, Mr. Itzel has been directly involved in the origination and closing of over $5 billion of commercial real estate loans and large resort properties. He has also participated in the growth of a NYSE listed real estate investment trust Pacific Gulf properties Inc. as the regional manager of a large portfolio of multi-tenant industrial and apartment properties in Southern California where his responsibilities included acquisitions, leasing and management. As the Director of Acquisitions for Real Estate Partners, Mr. Itzel coordinates the purchase of all new properties and is responsible for the underwriting, closing and financing of the properties. His diverse background enables him to view and assess real estate transactions from the perspective of the developer, owner, lender and manager. A graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Mr. Itzel has continued his education at Northwestern University and University of California, Los Angeles, completing advanced courses in real estate construction, management and finance. Mr. Itzel currently serves on the Board of Directors of an American Stock Exchange listed real estate investment company, American Spectrum Realty, Inc. |
