Mr. Karlen is President of NIP Group�s Group Captive Division and a member of its management committee since 2005. Mr. Karlen�s property and casualty insurance career spans over 30 years. Prior to joining NIP Group he was a senior executive of Physicians Insurance Company (PIC), Washington State�s largest medical professional insurer. During his 16 year tenure at PIC he held various leadership positions ultimately responsible for strategic planning and product development. Earlier in his insurance career he held underwriting management positions of increasing responsibility with two leading insurers CNA Insurance Company (NYSE: CNA) and Royal Sun Alliance (LON: RSA). Mr. Karlen has a long track record of profitability managing specialty casualty underwriting operations. He is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and an Associate in Reinsurance. Mr. Karlen graduated from Lewis and Clarke College with a BA in Business Administration. |
