Mr. Lynch was employed in the insurance industry for 30 years, with experience in personal lines, commercial lines and life insurance. His career began with Farmers Insurance Group in the Pacific Northwest and included nine relocations and assignments in underwriting, claims, business and technology integration, marketing/sales, governmental affairs and regional management.Executive roles included consecutive assignments as Regional Vice President for the Pacific Northwest Region, the Northern California Region and the Colorado Regions of Farmers. Mr. Lynch was also EVP of Market Management for Farmers following his assignment as President of Personal Lines Operations.In 2002, Mr. Lynch relocated to Zurich, Switzerland to lead the profitability improvement program of the Zurich Group and to establish the Group Strategic direction. He served as Head of Operations and Performance Management for the Zurich Group until 2004 and was a member of the Group ManagementBoard for Zurich. In 2004, Mr. Lynch was appointed CEO of Zurich's US Small Businesses, which included Zurich Small Business and Zurich Programs - businesses with combined premiums of USD 3.5 billion. In July 2007, he retired from Zurich/Farmers and retired from the Group Management Board.Mr. Lynch lives in Chicago and Los Angeles. He holds a BA degree from Eastern Washington University. He has completed the Executive Development program from the Wharton School and has his CPCU, CLU and GCA professional designations. He has served on various insurance industry boards and non-profit boards over his career. |
