John MacDonald serves as Executive Vice President in the firm�s Boston office specializing primarily in the Life Sciences Technology Industry. He brings with him over thirty years of leadership experience building top tier pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Prior to joining DHR, Mr. MacDonald was a private consultant where he used his strategic and operational strengths to help organizations improve sales and profitability through brand revitalization, acquisitions and business partnerships. He also founded a successful biotechnology business, Catalyst Oncology that provides novel cancer diagnostics in support of individualized patient treatments. Previous to founding Catalyst Oncology, Mr. MacDonald served as Corporate Vice President with Pharmacia Corporation working with teams responsible for global mergers and acquisitions. He has held senior management positions in the US, Canada and Europe with Pharmacia Corp, and Bristol-Myers Squibb where he was responsible for management of subsidiary businesses and the launch of global brands. In addition to his responsibilities with healthcare companies Mr. MacDonald has served on company boards, and as chairman of the Dean�s Corporate Council for the College of Pharmacy at Ohio State University. Mr. MacDonald received his M.B.A. with academic distinction from Ashland University and is currently a Ph.D. candidate with research focus on corporate mergers. He is active in community affairs and lives with his family on Cape Cod Massachusetts. |
