John Madia is Global Director, Human Resources, for The Dow Chemical Company. His responsibilities include being the global focal point for a number of functions within Dow including Manufacturing & Engineering, Research & Development, Shared Services, Public Affairs and Human Resource Information Technology.
Before being named to this position, Madia served as several capacities for Dow AgroSciences (DAS) including Vice President, Human Resources and General Manager for the agchem business unit. Prior to this role he served the Company in various roles, including sales representative, district manager, group marketing manager, business development manager and global business director. These experiences have come in multiple DAS businesses and Global New Product Development.
Madia currently serves on the FFA Foundation Sponsor�s Board and the Executive Board for the Indiana Bulls Baseball Organization. John has held previous advisory board positions for the Purdue University College of Agriculture, as well as the Purdue University Athletic Department. Additionally, he is a member of the American Youth Hall of Fame.
Madia received a bachelor's degree in animal science from Purdue University and is a graduate of the Indiana Partnership for Executive Development at Indiana University. Madia has been honored with a Distinguished Alumni Award from the School of Animal Science at Purdue in 2006 and in March of 2007, received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the Purdue College of Agriculture. |
