John Roeger - Principal, Consulting Actuary FSA, MAAA Professional designations Fellow, Society of Actuaries Member, American Academy of Actuaries Current responsibility John is a Principal and consulting actuary with the Chicago office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1994.Experience John's primary professional area of expertise is valuing life insurance companies or blocks of business for use in mergers and acquisitions or other strategic alternatives. His work includes extensive experience in statutory and US GAAP accounting, particularly related to mergers and acquisitions transaction. He has broad international experience, including considerable work in Korea, Japan, and the US, as well as working with large multi-national Canadian and European companies. John has extensive knowledge in actuarial appraisals, embedded values, stochastic projections, and cash flow testing. He is a lead actuary within Milliman at managing these types of projects, which require a wide range of knowledge in life insurance products, guarantee benefits, and asset/liability management.
