John J. Rourke, has been a part of the Hughes Television Network team since 1986. An Iona College graduate with a degree in broadcasting, Rourke joined Madison Square Garden Network and HTN in 1986 as a Junior Communications Coordinator.
He was promoted to Manager, Communications Services Division in 1988 and Director, Communications Services Division/IDB Communications in 1990. In 1995 Keystone Communications bought out HTN and Rourke retained his title. A year later, he was promoted to Vice-President, Sports of Keystone Communications where he was instrumental in the unification and operations of the two sports departments after the merger between Keystone and IDB Communications. In 1998 he was named as Vice-President, Sports of GlobeCast America where he was responsible for all sales related to sports as well as the associated customer service operation and overall management of the sports division.
John and his wife Rita live in Granite Springs, N.Y. with their daughter Daniella and son Michael. |
