John Sarkisian became Chairman of Semtek in February of 2006 after serving as the firm's Chief Executive Officer since 2003. Mr. Sarkisian is the Managing Member of Del Mar Heritage LLC, a real estate and development company that has focused on infill residential development in the San Diego area since 1995. The company has completed construction and sales of projects in 2005 with a total value in excess of $100 million. Mr. Sarkisian is also the Chief Executive Officer of Pro Performance Sports, LLC. Mr. Sarkisian supervises this manufacturer and distributor of innovative sports training and recreational products-sold through direct response advertising, Internet, sporting goods retailers, and mass retailers. Formerly, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Pat & Oscars Restaurant Group where he directed the growth of the firm from a single, 1,000-square-foot take-out restaurant in San Diego to 14 restaurants in California and Arizona. In 2000, he executed a successful sale of Pat & Oscars to Sizzler International. Mr. Sarkisian received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from University of Michigan and has completed substantial coursework towards an MBA from San Diego State University. He lives with his wife, Bernadette, and their four children in Rancho Santa Fe, California. He is Vice-Chairman of the YMCA Board of Directors for San Diego County, as well as former Chairman of the St. James Academy Advisory Board. He was selected as the 1999 Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" for San Diego Count |
