John Simpson was elected in 2004 to represent Eugene Water & Electric Board Wards 1 and 8, and began serving in January 2005. He currently serves as the board's vice president.
Born and raised in Eugene, John has worked as a technical support engineer for VersaLogic Corporation for over 18 years.
John is an active community leader. He served as the chair of the Westside Neighborhood Quality Project, sat on the Neighborhood Leaders Council, volunteered for the Eugene Department of Public Safety, and has served as the president of the Eugene/Kakegawa Sister City Committee for the past five years.
He currently represents EWEB on the McKenzie Watershed Council. His primary interests on the board include protection of our water supply, emergency preparedness, ensuring EWEB�s ethic of public input, and expanding EWEB�s renewable energy and conservation programs. |
