John Thornton joined BBS Technologies's Board of Directors in December 2003. Mr. Thornton is a general partner at Austin Ventures and has been with them since 1991. He is actively involved in managing the firm's overall operations and focuses on software investing. Previously, Mr. Thornton was with McKinsey & Co., where he served clients in the U.S. and Europe . He has worked with companies such as Active Power, Dazel, Metasolv, Mission Critical, Vignette, Motive, Pentasafe, and Waveset. Mr. Thornton received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his BA summa cum laude from Trinity University , where he graduated first in his class. He is a founding board member of the Austin Entrepreneur's Foundation and a trustee of Trinity University and the Austin Museum of Art. |
