John D. Werderman joined Hydrogenics in February 2006 bringing over 25 years experience of building businesses within the high tech industry. Most recently John was the President and CEO of ReliOn, Inc., a developer of fuel cell systems, where he led the commercialization of the product and made major inroads in marketing emergency and backup power solutions to the telecom industry. Prior to joining ReliOn, John was President of IBUS/Phoenix, Inc., a subsidiary of Maxwell Technologies, an international developer of energy storage and power delivery systems. IBUS/Phoenix provided high-reliability applied computer and power quality systems for the telecommunications industry. Under his leadership the company grew from $22 million to $65 million within four years and established global operations in the UK, France and Germany. Prior to IBUS/Phoenix, John was President and General Manager of M/A-COM Government Products Inc., a subsidiary of M/A-COM, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of electronic components, wireless communications and subsystems for both the defense and commercial marketplaces. John received his masters in business administration from Keller Graduate School of Management and his bachelors degree in accounting from Walton College. |
