John Willson 67 is retired President and CEO of Placer Dome Inc. a position he held from 1993 to 1999. He was President and CEO of Pegasus Gold Inc. from 1989 to 1992 and was with Cominco Limited prior to that. During his career he worked in Ghana Montana Washington State British Columbia the Northwest Territories and Greenland.
John was raised in Portugal and England. He holds a Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Mining Engineering from the Royal School of Mines University of London England.
John is a director of Aber Diamond Corporation Finning International Inc. and PanAmerican Silver Corporation. He is also a member of the board of Transparency International Canada and the YMCA of Greater Vancouver.
John currently resides in Vancouver British Columbia. |
