Johnne Syverson has more than 30 years experience in financial services and planning. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER practitioner and one of only 1,300 practitioners in the United States who is credentialed as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP). Johnne serves as a resource to other professionals in the area of charitable tax planning, a strategy that enables individuals to increase their income, reduce taxes, and preserve their estate for heirs and the charities of their choice. He is past president of Mid-Iowa Planned Giving Council, an office that reflects his expertise in charitable planning. In 1981, he co-founded the first independent fee-for-service financial planning firm in Iowa. In 1999, the Central Iowa chapter of FPA presented him the Ric Jorgenson Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to the financial planning professional who exemplifies excellence and high standards in the field of financial planning and community service. Johnne and his colleagues have won two national awards for financial planning from the International Association of Financial Planning. He is the Vice -president of the International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy (IAAP), a past president of the Polk County Estate Planning Council, past president of the Central Iowa chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Johnne holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Services (MSFS) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. He and his wife, Linda, live in West Des Moines, Iowa, and have three adult children and seven grandchildren. |
