Dr. JoMei Chang is the Chief Executive Officer of Vitria Technology, and is widely recognized as a leading entrepreneur and inventor. Dr. Chang has been profiled in many major publications and was named a leading CEO by Fortune magazine and Entrepreneur of the year by Business Week.
With over 30 years of experience Dr. Chang is credited with inventing and patenting the first reliable multicast protocol, as well as co-founding Teknekron Software Systems (now TIBCO), the first digital Trader Workstation, which revolutionized Wall Street information systems.
In 1994, Dr. Chang founded Vitria Technology to help solve one of the most daunting problems facing corporate CIOs today, that of integrating disparate IT systems. Boasting some of the largest names in Telco, US Healthcare, manufacturing and Insurance as clients, Vitria has become a major force in the global BPM marketplace.
In 2004, Dr. Chang turned her focus to her native China and founded QilinSoft, a company that focuses on introducing integration technology to China. She serves both as a role model for entrepreneurs and as a technology visionary in the ever-growing technology market in China.
Dr. Chang holds a B.S. in Computer Science from National ChiaoTung University in Taiwan, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering on Database Management Systems from Purdue University. |
