Jon Stenquist has practiced with Moffatt Thomas since early 2003.Mr. Stenquist's practice is centered around the representation of individuals and entities in a wide variety of business transactions, commercial litigation, and real property transactions. He is also experienced in highly technical electronic discovery and in obtaining and challenging expert testimony in a variety of academic disciplines.Mr. Stenquist's previous experience includes working as an associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, in Houston, Texas, where his work included the structuring of entity and business transactions. He also worked as a litigation attorney for El Paso Corporation, a Houston energy firm, where he litigated commercial contracts and business disputes.Mr. Stenquist has represented clients in the areas of general business transactions, litigation, and corporate finance, including the following:Enforcement, collection, and foreclosure of collateralized debts. Defense of financial institutions against claims of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, conversion, and breach of contract. Negotiation of combined real estate transactions totaling over $100 million.Defense of clients in securities litigation. Preparation of documentation for the purchase, sale and finance of businesses and business assets throughout the state of Idaho. Defense of corporate clients against multimillion dollar IRS audits. Mr. Stenquist received his Bachelor of Science degree and Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University. He is a member of the Idaho State Bar, the Utah State Bar, and the State Bar of Texas. He participated in the University of Texas Executive Education Program as a student attorney and worked with the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Association as an attorney volunteer. He is a member of the Litigation, Real Estate, and Business Sections of the Idaho State Bar. |
