Jon Katona represents general partners and sponsors in the formation and management of private investment funds ranging in size from $10 million to over $2.5 billion, sponsors in their formation of fund general partners, and funds in their real estate, debt and equity investments. He also represents investors in connection with their investments in private investment funds and in the formation of collective investment vehicles. Mr. Katona has represented U.S. and international issuers and investment banks in a variety of corporate financing transactions, including initial public offerings, shelf take-down and other SEC-registered offerings, Rule 144A and Regulation S transactions and traditional private placements. He represents companies in reorganizations and merger and acquisition transactions (representing both acquirors and targets). He also advises companies and their boards of directors in connection with corporate governance and day-to-day operational issues.
