Jon is a world-renowned leader in the highly specialized field of biocontainment, and has designed or acted as an expert advisor for over 100 high-containment facilities (BSL-3, BSL-3Ag or BSL-4 or their equivalents). He has worked with all the U.S. government agencies involved in research and developing safety strategies for biocontainment in the event of a natural or bioterrorist event. A prolific author, Jon writes a regular column Perspectives in Biocontainment for Animal Lab News, and was guest editor for the 4th edition of CDC/NIH Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories. He is also a sought-after lecturer; presenting to various organizations including Tradeline, the Eagleson Institute and the American Biological Safety Association (ABSA). Jon is currently developing containment facilities in the U.S., UK, continental Europe, the former Soviet Union and Asia. |
