Jonathan B. Mills, Chairman of the Firm and resident in the Firm's Stamford office, received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He joined Cummings & Lockwood upon his graduation from law school in 1985, and has since focused on commercial real estate transactions, including commercial sales, acquisitions and financing. Jon is particularly active in the preparation and negotiation of commercial real estate leases and has represented a number of leading companies in connection with their headquarters and other facilities located throughout the country. Jon represents several national developers and institutional investors with respect to their holdings in various parts of the northeast. He is a member of the American and Connecticut Bar Associations and has lectured and written articles on various commercial leasing and construction topics. Jon is included in the 2003-2004 edition of The Best Lawyers in America and has been listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Law, as well as in Connecticut Magazine�s list of the top lawyers in the state of Connecticut. He is AV-rated in the national legal peer review directory, Martindale-Hubbell. In addition to his professional activities, Jon has been active in various civic endeavors, having served on various boards and committees for The United Way, The March of Dimes, The USO of Metropolitan New York, The Norwalk Community College Foundation, and other organizations. |
