Mr. Swatsburg is responsible for the development, management and regulatory compliance of all programs serving youth. The programs include secure and open treatment facilities for delinquent and dependent youth, shelter care, and detention and community-based prevention, treatment, and aftercare services.
Under Mr. Swatsburg's leadership, the juvenile firesetter program at Cornell Abraxas Youth Center became nationally recognized by the U.S. Fire Administration. Mr. Swatsburg also created and marketed Cornell's Non-Residential Detention (NRD) and Non-Residential Treatment (NRT) programs. He has served as the program director of community-based, residential, wilderness and behavioral health youth programs during his employment with Cornell.
Mr. Swatsburg has 12 years experience in the field of youth services. He completed his Bachelor of Science with a dual major in Psychology Criminal Justice and his Master of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania.
