Dr. Guethon has over 15 years of healthcare experience both in clinical and administrative medicine, and is board-certified in family practice. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, his doctorate in medicine degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, and completed an MBA program at Tampa College.
After serving as the senior medical director for a large Medicare health maintenance organization, Dr. Guethon joined the company in 2001 and served as the regional medical director responsible for the clinical operations of the Daytona market. During his tenure he was instrumental in the development and implementation of a proprietary, quality-based, pay for performance program called Partners In Quality. He also collaborated in the development of successful disease-state management programs and other quality improvement initiatives.
In January 2005, he was appointed Chief Medical Officer for METCARE Health Plans, Inc. He brings to the health plan his experience in geriatric medicine, organizational management, and dynamic leadership. His credentials include successful CMS and AHCA audits, and NCQA and URAC accreditation |
