Mr. Alvarez has served as Vice President of Technology for BPZ Energy since October 2004. From 2003 to 2004 he served as Production Application Manager for Case Services Inc. and for the previous seven years from 1996 to 2003 was a Development Manager with Schlumberger Information Systems. A production and reservoir engineering professional with over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry Mr. Alvarez has gained recognition as the creator of engineering and software solutions including The Production Analyst (PA) and the Oil Field Manager (OFM) which are now used worldwide by the oil industry. His responsibilities include data management and software solutions for BPZ's exploration and production operations. He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
