Joseph A. Alutto is a board member of Nationwide Financial Services, Inc. (NFS), a part of Nationwide, a $161 billion diversified financial services organization based in Columbus, Ohio. NFS is the publicly traded holding company for Nationwide's long-term savings operation. He was elected to the board in 2002. He also serves on the boards of Nationwide Life Insurance Company and Nationwide Life and Annuity Insurance Company, subsidiaries of NFS.
Alutto is executive vice president and provost of The Ohio State University and former dean of the Max M. Fisher College of Business at the university.
He is a board member of United Retail Group, Inc.; M/I Homes; Columbus-Franklin County Finance Authority; and Experience Columbus. He is a member of the Academy of Management, American Psychological Association, Industrial and Labor Relations Research Association and American Association for the Advancement of Science. He served as President of the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business - The International Association for Management Education from October 1996 - June 1998.
Alutto received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Manhattan College, a master's degree in industrial relations from the University of Illinois, and a doctorate in organizational behavior from Cornell University. |
