Executive Vice President, Director, Fixed Income Capital Markets, Stifel Nicolaus Mr. Sullivan joined Stifel Nicolaus as EVP and Director of Fixed Income Capital Markets in December, 2005 from Legg Mason, where he had been responsible the firm's fixed income activities for more than 12 years. Previously, Mr Sullivan has been associated with Dain Bosworth and Piper, Jaffray, since entering the industry in 1979. Over the course of his career, Mr. Sullivan's responsibilities have included the oversight of the banking, trading, institutional sales, and research functions for the government/agency, municipal, corporate, mortgage, and preferred securities operations of the firms with which he has been employed.
Mr. Sullivan is a member of the board of Directors of Stifel Financial, is a Director of Stifel Nicolaus Limited and participates on several operational committees of the Firm. He is also very active within the industry, as current Chair of the Fixed Income Committee of NASDr and a Trustee of the Securities Industry Institute. Mr. Sullivan was formerly a Board Member of The Bond Market Association and a member of the NYSE Hearing Board.
Mr. Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. John's University (MN) and is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute, sponsored by the SIA, at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Sullivan is also involved in numerous civic and private activities, including having served as President of the Baltimore Youth Hockey Association and as a member of the Board of Trustees for Catholic Charities in Baltimore. |
