Mr Maenner's intellectual property experience includes filing and prosecuting patent and trademark matters; filing copyright applications; litigating patent, trademark, copyright and unfair competition matters; licensing intellectual property; and counseling clients on all intellectual property issues. Mr. Maenner works with each client to develop an intellectual property portfolio that is based on that client's specific business goals. Mr. Maenner is a 1996 graduate of The Dickinson School of Law (now The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University) and a 1986 graduate of Drexel University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to law school, Mr. Maenner served as a mechanical engineer for the Department of the Navy, where he was a senior project engineer for high technology propulsion system development and the assistant to the technical director for a state-of-the-art damage control information management program. Also a published author, Mr. Maenner's publications include: "Share Your Ideas, Protect Your Rights." Review of Ophthalmology. Newtown Square, Pa.: Jobson Publications Group, September 2003, and "So The Doctor Wants to be an Inventor." On Managing. Plymouth Meeting, Pa.: The Health Care Group, April 2003. Mr. Maenner has also presented numerous Continuing Legal Education programs to local bar associations entitled "Intellectual Property for the Corporate Practitioner" and has appeared on the CN8 segment of Headline News entitled "Newsmakers" to discuss patents. Mr. Maenner is a frequent guest lecturer at Drexel University, where he discusses patent law for engineering students. He a member of the ABA, AIPLA, and is an active member of the Montgomery Bar Association Intellectual Property Law Committee. Mr. Maenner is a member of RatnerPrestia's Mechanical / Biomedical Devices Group. |
