Mr. Lagrotteria is a shareholder in the Firm�s Litigation Group. He focuses his practice on environmental litigation and regulatory matters. He also has extensive experience in commercial and products liability litigation, particularly in the areas of toxic torts and OSHA. He has represented both publicly and privately held corporations, financial institutions and insurance companies in numerous environmental and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Lagrotteria has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts in New Jersey and several other states. He has argued appeals before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits Mr. Lagrotteria has also acted frequently as an arbitrator and mediator appointed by the United States District Court for New Jersey. In the regulatory area, Mr. Lagrotteria has represented numerous public and private companies in environmental matters before numerous state agencies as well as the Environmental Protection Agency. These matters have involved permitting, negotiating remediation agreements, defending administrative actions as well as commenting on agency rulemaking matters Mr. Lagrotteria frequently provides environmental counseling and guidance to clients involved in mergers and acquisitions. These matters involved assisting clients in environmental due diligence, assessing environmental risk as well as obtaining necessary environmental approvals from state and federal agencies for transactions.
