Joe Riggs, Edison Group President, has responsibility for building, selling and servicing homes in New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Minnesota, Michigan and Illinois.
Mr. Riggs joined the Company in 1993 as an Area President. In 1999, he was promoted to his current position.
In 2003, his 810 Associates delivered more than 2,087 homes in the Northeast Region and maintained K. Hovnanian's position as the largest residential for-sale builder in New Jersey.
Mr. Riggs graduated with a Bachelor's degree in economics from St. Lawrence University in 1973. From there, he went on to become President of the Bowling Green Golf Course in Oak Ridge. In 1982 he became President of Swedeland Forge Associates, a medium-sized homebuilder.
An active member of the New Jersey Builders Association, Mr. Riggs is a past President and has held numerous leadership positions in the Association. He has received numerous industry awards, including "Builder of the Year." He served as a member of the Planning Board and the Board of Adjustment in Jefferson Township, Morris County. He is also a past President of the Board of Trustees for Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church and has served as a church elder for many years. |
