Joseph F. Nemia is President of CIT Commercial
& Industrial, a unit of CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT),
a leading global commercial and consumer
finance company.
CIT Commercial & Industrial provides a wide
range of financial solutions across a range of
markets including retail, food, agriculture,
wholesale, manufacturing, business services and
others.
With over more than years of experience in
corporate finance and sales, Nemia joined CIT in
March 2006 as Executive Vice President and
Chief Sales Officer of CIT Commercial Finance.
Before CIT, he was a Senior Managing Director
of GE Commercial Finance where he held a
number of leadership positions during his 14
years with the company. Prior to joining GE,
Nemia held numerous positions in the risk and
sales groups at the Bank of New York and Chase
Manhattan Bank.
In 2006, he was elected Chairman of the
Commercial Finance Association (CFA), an
industry leading forum of financial institution
executives and institutions. He is a past recipient
of the CFA "Instructor Award of Excellence" in
recognition of his contributions to industry
education, and has served on the CFA's
Executive Committee and Management
Committee, as well as several CFA seminar and
convention panels.
Nemia is a Trustee of National Jewish Hospital in
