Joe has more than 30 years of advisory and energy industry experience. He has served as an expert witness, arbitrator and business advisor for the oil and gas, petrochemical, pipeline, and oil services industries. Joe has performed analyses related to litigation, arbitration, mergers, post-acquisition disputes, business and asset valuations and contract disputes for companies of all sizes. He has been involved in the planning, evaluation and building of numerous energy and chemical facilities. In addition, he has participated in numerous financings and merger transactions, providing planning, evaluation, document review and due diligence.

Prior to joining Huron, Joe was Director of Forensic & Dispute Services at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, LLP. Previously, he was Manager at Tenneco Energy's mezzanine oil and gas investment fund.

Assisted two major oil and gas companies in a purchase price dispute for Gulf of Mexico properties. Involvement included determining a cost effective approach to determine proper revenues including supporting documentation and presenting a third-party opinion to both companies.
Provided expert testimony and analysis for a multimillion dollar lawsuit involving oil and gas fraud. Involvement included analysis of cash diversions, asset transfers and commingling of funds.
Assisted a major oil service company in the evaluation and proposal for selling a facility in Venezuela.
Provided expert testimony and industry expertise for both a products pipeline company and an offshore oil and gas company during bankruptcy proceedings, valuing the property and determining whether they were marketable.
Provided expert opinion and testimony for several major oil and gas companies regarding the value of sour gas processing for four major operations. Involvement included developing a novel approach for valuation, overall direction of the valuation calculations and report, and direct testimony related to the valuation calculations for a multimillion dollar controversy for state severance tax.
Provided arbitration services for a purchase price dispute involving a multimillion dollar gas storage facility. Responsibilities included managing engineering and legal advisors, analyzing technical and financial presentation by both parties and determining the fair market value of the possible impairment.
Assisted two major chemical companies in a detailed contract and cost review. The findings will serve as an important part of negotiation for future services.
Provided expert testimony and expert report regarding use of improper due diligence by a buyer. Involvement included detailed analysis of data available versus normal standards.
