Joseph M. Leone is Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of CIT Group Inc. Mr. Leone has held the position of CIT's Chief Financial Officer since 1995. As Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer Mr. Leone heads the accounting tax treasury systems and technology investor relations corporate development and insurance groups. He was Executive Vice President of CIT's Sales Financing unit responsible for sales and servicing from 1991-1995. Mr. Leone began his career with CIT in 1986 as Senior Vice President and Controller. Prior to that he was with Manufacturers Hanover where he served as Deputy Controller. He had previously been Senior Audit Manager in the Banking Industry Practice with KPMG Peat Marwick. Mr. Leone holds a B.B.A. from Baruch College of the City University of New York and attended the Harvard University Advanced Management Program. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute. Mr. Leone is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ramapo College Foundation and serves on a variety of advisory boards including Franklin and Marshall College American Heart Association and Archbishop Molloy High School.
