Joseph R. Horvatin is Senior Director of Strategy and Business Operations. His responsibilities include leading SEI's Global Strategic Planning, Product Management, and Portfolio Management efforts. Mr. Horvatin's business operations mission is to integrate business operations globally, leveraging new business process designs and technology innovations to achieve greater levels of efficiency and scalability while improving SEI's market responsiveness. Mr. Horvatin is leading a comprehensive business transformation across SEI by re-engineering business processes and tools and organizational maturity. Mr. Horvatin joined SEI in 2007. Before joining SEI, he worked 23 years at Motorola in the Cellular Networks and Connected Home businesses. Mr. Horvatin held numerous positions within the Cellular Networks business with increasing responsibilities. He was key to the foundation of Motorola's first cellular field deployments and played a valuable role during the advent of cellular communications. Mr. Horvatin was Director of Business Intelligence and Strategic Analysis for Motorola's Networks and Enterprise Business. He created and implemented a global systematic Business Intelligence model to improve strategic and R&D decision-making, providing a competitive edge in the cellular market. He was instrumental to Business Operations, responsible for implementing a global Sales Objects modela network configuration tool that enabled cost reductions through supply chain and standardizing product configurations. He oversaw the Product Portfolio Say-Do metrics analyses, driving corrective actions that enabled continuous improvement and improved profitability. Mr. Horvatin has over 16 years of experience working directly with wireless customers as product manager, regional sales manager, and market manager for large accounts where he exceeded company financial targets. During his tenure, he created and drove a comprehensive analogue to digital network migration path for global accounts. He was also responsible for the successful deployment and commercialization of Motorola's first US NAMPS and CDMA access technologies. Mr. Horvatin volunteers for a local YMCA non -profit children's development organization where he sits on the Executive Council. He holds two technology degrees. |
