Joseph R. Chinnici has served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Ciena Corporation since August 1997, and was previously Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer from May 1995 to August 1997. Mr. Chinnici served previously as Controller since joining the Company in September 1994.
From 1993 through 1994, Mr. Chinnici served as a financial consultant for Halston Borghese Inc. From 1977 to 1993, Mr. Chinnici held a variety of accounting and finance assignments for Playtex Apparel, Inc. (now a division of Sara Lee Corporation), ending this period as Director of Operations Accounting and Financial Analysis.
Mr. Chinnici currently serves on the boards of directors for Brix Networks, Optium Corporation and Sourcefire, Inc. He holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from Southern Illinois University. |
