Joseph S.D. Christof, II is a shareholder of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. Mr. Christof specializes in Civil Litigation and practices in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Insurance Defense, Professional Negligence, Products Liability, Toxic Tort, Environmental, Intellectual Property, Technology Law, Construction Litigation, and Securities Litigation. He is Co-chair of the firm's Commercial Law and Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Christof is a member of the bars in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio, is admitted to practice in those three states, and actively practices there in State and Federal Court. He is admitted to practice before Appellate Courts and Federal Courts in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Wisconsin. He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, and Pennsylvania Defense Institute. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Christof served as a law clerk to Herbert Sorg, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Christof graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 1970 with a B.A. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1974. Mr. Christof has lectured on various topics relevant to the field of civil litigation including professional negligence; toxic torts; insurance coverage for trademark, tradedress, and copyright infringement claims; and issues relating to commercial litigation. He has been named in the current edition of The Best Lawyers in America. In addition, Mr. Christof has been active in his church and various local organizations including Quaker Valley Schools, the Sewickley YMCA, and the Edgeworth/Leetsdale Municipal Authority.
