Dr. Kraemer holds the title of director at the Washington, DC office of LECG. For over 25 years, he has worked with, and served as counselor to, senior management at communications, media, and high-tech companies in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. A substantial portion of Dr. Kraemer's consulting assignments involve an assessment of market trends and other attributes of markets, such as size, segmentation, and share. Frequently, he advises management on market entry strategies, including merger/acquisition-based initiatives. Dr. Kraemer has also served financial institutions by managing the due diligence on proposed investments, especially those involving new technology-based initiatives.
He teaches electronic commerce and business strategy courses at both the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and the Kogod Business School at American University. The Progress & Freedom Foundation (Washington, DC) has designated him an adjunct fellow.
Recent publications by Dr. Kraemer have included: "The Myths and Realities of Universal Service", "The High-Speed Access Market for Small and Medium Businesses", "Digital Television in a Digital Economy", and "Summary of Strategic Trends in the U.S. Telecommunications Industry". He also completed a proprietary landmark study on the future of the television broadcasting industry.
Dr. Kraemer speaks frequently to industry groups and serves as a facilitator at corporate retreats. He has also appeared as an expert witness in judicial proceedings and before regulatory and legislative bodies on matters related to markets and technology trends. Dr. Kraemer received his doctorate from the University of Michigan, has an MBA from George Washington University, and is a certified public accountant (CPA). |
