Joseph T. Faulkner is the Executive Managing Officer of the Los Angeles office. He is one of four principals in charge of brokerage operations and also works on special and complex projects. Creating new business opportunities as well as growing the company are priorities in addition to conducting brokerage. Mr. Faulkner has over twenty-five years of real estate marketing and general management experience in the commercial real estate brokerage industry. He has developed a reputation for solving challenging problems and completing complex transactions. He has been involved in virtually every aspect of real estate from development, planning, analysis, negotiation and implementation. Although much of his work has been in Downtown Los Angeles, he has successfully completed transactions all over Southern California and many in other parts of the Western United States. Mr. Faulkner began his career at Cushman & Wakefield where he spent nine years eventually becoming Senior Vice President and Branch Manager of the downtown Los Angeles office. In 1982, He started the Faulkner Company representing Mitsui Fudosan nationally and doing a variety of tenant representation in lease transactions. In 1988, the Faulkner Company allied itself with the international firm of Knight Frank. This was the first instance in which an American real estate firm linked up with an overseas partner. As a result, a great deal of business was done in foreign markets on behalf of American companies such as Computer Sciences Corporation, Unisys, Warner Bros., and Chemical Bank. In 1990, the firm became Knight Frank Faulkner, but the long planned U.S. expansion was abandoned due to the recession and priorities generated by the fall of the Iron Curtain. The firm was closed after eleven very successful years. Since then, Mr. Faulkner has worked in brokerage, management and corporate services for a number of national firms including Trammell Crow, Jones Lang LaSalle and Grubb & Ellis. EDUCATION - B.S.
