Joseph Fischer became a director of DTS in July 2003. Mr. Fischer has been retired since 1996, but prior to retirement he was a senior executive in the entertainment industry for almost 30 years. From 1987 until he retired in 1996, Mr. Fischer served as Executive Vice President of the motion picture group at MCA, Inc., a motion pictures studio, where he was involved in all facets of operations, especially in the distribution and exhibition of motion pictures outside of North America. From 1984 through 1986, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Four Star International, a producer and distributor of television programs. Prior to Four Star, from 1981 through 1983, Mr. Fischer served as President of MGM/UA Entertainment, a global entertainment company, where he was also a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee thereof. From 1967 through 1981, Mr. Fischer was the Executive Vice President of Columbia Pictures Industries, a motion pictures studio. Prior to entering the entertainment industry, from 1954 to 1967, he was an audit manager at Price Waterhouse & Co., an international public accounting firm. Mr. Fischer holds a B.S. in Accounting from Syracuse University. |
