Joseph received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and his Masters of Architecture from the University of Kansas. After his Masters, Joseph worked for George Sexton Associates, a museum and lighting consulting firm in Washington, DC.While at GSA, he gained experience in daylighting design, lighting optics and lighting control systems before moving to Minneapolis to work for a large Architecture/Engineering firm - Hammel, Green and Abrahamson.At HGA, Joseph was instrumental in opening the San Francisco office where he was project architect for many cultural and higher education projects in California. After several years as a practicing architect in California, Joseph joined Michelle Kaufmann Designs.At MKD, Joseph continually explores and develops the client experience so that designing, constructing, and living in an MKD home is an absolute joy. Joseph also employs his experience with daylighting design and controls, environmentally friendly materials, energy efficient building systems and life cycle cost analysis to help create thoughtful, modern environments that meet the high levels of quality and sustainability that MKD stands behind.As Managing Principal, Joseph also teams with the entire design staff to ensure that every project is a success for every client.Joseph is an architect licensed in the States of California and Illinois. |
