Dr. Joseph Shalev received his medical degree from Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel and completed his residency at Sinai Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. While receiving advanced training in cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment, he served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Kaiser Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Shalev has been in private practice in Las Vegas since 1972. During this time, he has served as Chief of Staff at St. Rose Dominican Hospital and as President of the Nevada Ophthalmological Society. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Shalev joined the Shepherd Eye Center in 2006, limiting his practice to medical ophthalmology. |
