Mr. Jones specializes in the defense of brokerage firms and financial institutions against claims asserted by customers in state and federal court and in arbitration proceedings throughout the Southeast. Representative clients include Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and UBS Financial. In addition, Mr. Jones represents clients in non-securities related litigation including purported class actions, contractual disputes, alleged commercial fraud, and personal injury defense. Representative clients include Sears, Roebuck & Co., Regions Financial Corporation, and U-Haul International. Mr. Jones is also actively involved in Maynard Cooper's White Collar Criminal Defense Practice Group. He represents companies and individuals in connection with criminal and regulatory investigations, including both state and federal prosecutions as well as IRS, SEC, and FINRA investigations. Prior To Maynard Cooper: While in law school, Mr. Jones was a student clerk for the Honorable G. Steven Agee of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Before beginning law school, he was the owner-operator of a small business in his hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
