Joshua Nelson is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Orange County office. He is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department, where he focuses his practice on patent prosecution. Joshua represents clients in various technological fields, including aerospace, optics, digital communications, semiconductor devices, materials technologies, mechanical and electro-mechanical devices, image and video processing, medical devices and software.
Joshua has significant experience in reexamination and appeal proceedings before the USPTO, as well as experience with client counseling and IP due diligence in connection with technology acquisitions. He is also involved in the support of various patent litigation matters.
Joshua received his juris doctorate from Boston College Law School and his bachelor�s degree in physics from the University of Dallas, where he was elected as a member of the Sigma Pi Sigma national physics honor society.
Joshua is admitted to practice in California and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
