Dr. Cruz is currently at the University of South Florida where he serves as Professor of Childhood Education and Assistant to the President. A former kindergarten teacher, center director and Fulbright Scholar, he has held tenured faculty positions in early education at the University of Virginia and The Ohio State University. In August 2002, Mr. Cruz assumed the position of Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He is the author of numerous articles and technical reports and has served the profession in a variety of capacities. At present, Mr. Cruz is Vice President of NAEYC and a member of the Executive Board of NCATE. He is frequently sought by government and non-governmental agencies to serve on review panels and boards addressing the educational needs of children and families in the U.S. and abroad. |
