Joyce L. Meyer is a partner in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Team. Her practice includes designing, drafting and rendering advice with respect to pension, profit-sharing and welfare plans, specifically focusing on executive compensation arrangements and the tax and securities law aspects of such arrangements. Joyce also represents buyers and sellers in the employee benefits and executive compensation aspects of merger, acquisition and reorganization transactions, including initial public offerings.
Prior to joining the firm in January 1998, Joyce practiced more than seven years as an employee benefits associate at the Chicago law firm of Mayer, Brown & Platt. Prior to attending law school, she was a practicing accountant, with experience in both public and private accounting, including several years as supervisor of compensation accounting for R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co., a Fortune 200 company headquartered in Chicago. Joyce is a certified public accountant. |
