Joyce Dehli was appointed vice president for news in 2006. She joined the corporate staff in 2004, responsible for newsroom training programs, and had served as corporate director of editorial development since 2005.
Previously, she was managing editor of the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison, where she earlier held a variety of editing and reporting positions. Also in her career, she reported for the Courier-Journal and The Louisville Times in Louisville, Ky. Her work, alone or as part of a team, has been recognized with more than 30 national and state journalism awards and honors. She has trained journalists in computer-assisted reporting and ethical decision-making, and has participated in national journalism projects on those topics.
She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Marquette University in Milwaukee and a master's degree in English literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. |
