Juan N. Cento is president of the Latin America and Caribbean Division of FedEx Express. He is based in Miami, Fla., and is responsible for developing and executing all corporate strategies and operations for the Latin America and Caribbean Division. Cento manages more than 3,200 employees in more than 50 countries and territories. Prior to his current position, Cento served as vice president of Mexico and Central America of FedEx Express.
Cento has more than 30 years� experience in the air cargo and express transportation industry. He began his career with Flying Tigers before joining FedEx as managing director for South and Central America in 1989. Cento is a member of the University of Miami International Advisory Board, the Board of Trustees for the Free Trade Area of The Americas and the Beacon Council. He is a board member of Assurant, Inc., and was recently appointed to the board of directors of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation. He was the founding chairman of the board for the International Kids Fund and is currently a board member of the Jackson Memorial Foundation. A native of Cuba, Cento attended Miami-Dade Community College and Florida International University College of Business Administration.
