Judy Hudson is a Managing Director in the Midwest (Chicago and Milwaukee) offices of Major, Lindsey & Africa. Judy specializes in conducting searches for senior-level attorneys, including General Counsels and Chief Intellectual Property Counsels, on behalf of corporate law departments all over the country. She has placed attorneys with companies such as the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, Charter Communications, Rockwell Automation, The Toro Company, Honeywell, MEMC, Cabot Microelectronics, GE Healthcare, Kimberly-Clark, General Mills, Molex, Pioneer North America and Artisan Partners. In addition to her in-house practice, Judy has placed several partners and associates at prominent law firms in the Midwest.
Judy received her JD in 1992 from the University of Chicago Law School, and a BA in 1989 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She joined MLA in February, 2000 after spending several years as a commercial litigator with Schiff Hardin & Waite and Holleb & Coff in Chicago.
Outside of MLA, Judy most enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. An improvisational and sketch comedy fan, she graduated from the Second City Theater's Conservatory Program and performed in several shows as part of that group. She also performed as a classical pianist for many years and, in college and law school, sang with various rock bands and a cappella groups. She speaks fluent Hungarian and extremely rusty French and Hebrew.
