Ms. Runstad practices as of counsel (former co-managing partner) with Foster Pepper PLLC, a Northwest regional law firm, and has practiced in the areas of real estate development and land use and environmental law for 32 years. She has substantial experience representing clients in the areas of growth management, zoning, shoreline management, and regulatory matters. She co-chairs Governor Gregoire's Washington Global Competitiveness Council. Previously serving on Governor Locke's Competitiveness Council as co-chair, the Governor's High Speed Ground Transportation Commission and on the Governor's Washington State Growth Strategies Commission, Ms. Runstad has served on five gubernatorial commissions. She is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and since the mid 1980s has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America, Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in American Women.
Ms. Runstad is a former Chairman of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank. She currently serves on the board of directors of Wells Fargo & Company, SAFECO Corporation and Potlatch Corporation. Her civic involvement includes serving as chair of numerous boards, including the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Seattle Association and the Alliance for Education. She was Chairman of the King County United Way Campaign, and serves on the Seattle Foundation Board. |
