Dr. Judith Grimes serves as an associate consultant for Noel-Levitz from her position as dean of student services at Missouri Western State University. In this capacity, she oversees a variety of programs and centers including counseling, testing, nontraditional students, students with special needs, career development, student employment, advising, intervention programs, and the Center for Academic Support.
Previously at Missouri Western, Dr. Grimes served as director of student success programs, where she oversaw the campus advising programs, including the intensive freshman advisor training and new faculty advisor training. She has also been the director of the university�s Freshman Year Experience office. Before arriving at Missouri Western, she served as director of the Applied Language Institute, a joint program of the University of Missouri-Kansas City and the Metropolitan Community Colleges. Her experience also includes positions as a supervisor for Special Federal Instructional Programs at the Missouri Department of Education and coordinator for the Missouri Governor�s Advisory Council on Hispanic Affairs.
Presentations, awards, and education: Dr. Grimes has written and presented extensively on student retention, academic advising, and multicultural education issues. In 1999, Missouri Western received a Retention Excellence Award for their work on Missouri Western�s Access Plus program. She received her Ph.D. in Higher and Adult Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. |
